Much like the title of our blog suggests, we’ve had a busy couple of months so we thought it was time to recap, look back at our successes and share what we’ve been up to! From working on new franchises to visiting exhibitions and even launching our own breakfast meeting we’ve been out in the community promoting Home Care Preferred, working with franchisees and helping ambitious entrepreneurs get started in their journey. Here’s our run-down:
Home Care Preferred Barnet Launched
It might seem like Summer has well and truly disappeared, but whilst many were enjoying their annual leave, we (along with our new franchise business owners) were planning something very special – a launch in Barnet! From helping with recruitment to setting up the internal logistics, software and other business elements the journey was challenging (as with any new business), but we did it and celebrated with a very well attended launch party!
The National Franchise Exhibition
The National Franchise Exhibition (NFE) in Birmingham is the largest franchise exhibition in the UK. With over 150 exhibitors, it’s not just franchising that was on offer to attendees. Guest speakers covered a range of topics including essential franchise services, finance, and legal processes. At the show, our CEO and Founder, Ken Waterhouse was interviewed by Ashton Franchise Consultancy, speaking about the Home Care Preferred journey and the help that Ashton’s provided during the consultancy period.
Nick Williams, Managing Consultant at Ashtons commented after the interview, “Ashtons have been involved with Homecare Preferred since franchising was first a thought. When the organisers of the National Franchise Exhibition asked us to run a new type of seminar presentation, I immediately thought of Ken as an ideal contributor. The plan was to give both potential franchisors and potential franchisees an insight to the franchising journey from both their perspectives. We used an informal setting, rather like a TV chat show, and had a broad framework of questions to put to each other but wanted it to be fluid, so we just went with the flow from the audience who asked great questions.”
Finally, our most recent success was the launch of our very own networking Breakfast Meetings! Since our inception in 2012, we have come to know and work with many great businesses who share our ethos and values so we felt that getting them together to meet and network would be beneficial.
