At Home Care Preferred, we have started the year on a great note by nominating Headway as our charity of the year. Headway is a UK-wide charity that works to improve people’s lives after brain injury. Through it’s network across the UK, it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families, caregivers, as well as health professionals in the industry. Did you know? In 2013-14 over 300,000 people in the UK were admitted to hospital with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). ABI admissions in the UK have increased by 10% since 2005-6.
